WTF? Is there only one post office in 100 miles there or something? I've never seen my two local post offices that busy.(In a city of 55,000 people we have two post office branches, both pretty much equidistant from my house.)
Time to hit the UPS Store and mail it from there (they do regular mail as well as UPS if I remember correctly.)
Some mail is worth it. Like a 3 month old christmas greetings card from a lojal fan across the Atlantic who never got her book or hoodie or anything else you promised her but still feel you deserve a picture of her kids smiling at you. You know, hypothetically.
